Just a short note to keep you updated with this half term’s results.
The penny race back in October is a mammoth task to count as you can imagine but so far we have banked £1,161 with two classes still to count. That is absolutely amazing and certainly one of our best years! Thank you.
It was the first time we purchased group theatre tickets to take advantages of discounts available to schools and during half term over fifty of us went to see the West End production of Big. Not only was it a great show, but the tickets were £32 instead of £75 and this made us £325 for the school. We will definitely be doing this again soon so watch this space!
Fireworks was another great night and together with match funding this earned the school a massive £6,398. This is a fantastic amount and thanks to all the helpers who made this possible as it is such a busy event!
The Ashwells party wasn’t as well attended as we had hoped given that we had negotiated relatively cheap ticket prices for the time of year, but it was a good night and it raised £301 for the school.
On the other hand, tickets for wreath making flew off the shelves! It was such a festive evening and grateful thanks to Karen Warner for leading it – she was fabulous! So many people complimented us on such a lovely evening and even wanted tickets for next year! The evening raised a brilliant £730.
And before we knew it, it was Christmas time! The Fayre was once more an incredible team effort and huge success! Including tree sales, cards and tea towels and match funding we raised an unbelievable £10,116.
And so that brings us to the end of the year. The money raised is being used to transform the old adventure playground to an improved more usable outside space for the children.
All that remains is for us to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year….and to tell you that this year’s panto Snow White and the Super Seven is Friday 31st January and tickets are now available on ticket tailor
All our love and thanks for your support
