My background is in financial and professional services, and I am a qualified coach, with a Masters in Psychology specialising in motivation. In addition to my executive coaching work, I am a specialist parent coaching and particularly support families with neurodiverse children (ADD, ADHD, ASD, SPD, dyslexia and anxiety). I am a keen sportsperson and play tennis and cricket, and I use my Psychology background to help young sportspeople build their confidence and resilience in sport. My three children have had many happy years at St. Peter’s: my two daughters are now at senior school and my son is in year 6.

I have significant experience in education and governorship. I have been a governor at Shenfield School 1984-1992 and at St Peter's since 1996. I have chaired the governors from 2009 to 2021. I run an education consultancy and have been vice-chair (now secretary) of the London and Home Counties Regional Conferences (SEN and Disability).

I have worked in a variety of different educational settings for over 20 years. After completing my PhD in History, I taught in international schools in London, Vienna and Japan and have a wide experience of different curriculums and assessments. Since 2008 I have taught at Brentwood School, where I teach GCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate (IB) History and Politics. I am also an examiner for IB History. I have 3 children 2 attend St Peter's.
